What is typography?

  • The art and technique of printing with movable type.
  • The composition of printed material from movable type.
  • The arrangement and appearance of printed matter.

There is nothing about digital methods in the dictionary about typography.

Part 2;


Random letters.
Although these are just random letters that have been chosen, I know exactly what each letter is. Even though the 'p' looks like a capital 'P' I can tell that its know because I know that there is a common baseline.
 This shows the definition of what everything means on a letter.


 The names of each part of a letterform.

Serif
The difference of sans and sans serif.
Bowl
Stem
