Researching for typogateoux I first started to look on pinterest and google, looking for cakes and this is what I found.

Looking at teared cakes, that stand out and are different, starting with basics then some with type.

Finding this cake I first thought that it was a good idea, but then thought that this idea could have been done before, and is an easy way of using type in a context.

Going from standard teared cake to different shaped cakes and left alligned. Having a different more unique cake will work better as it is less likely to be done. I then looked at the past entries for typogateoux to see what has been done, and what I could do that is different.

These are all completely different cakes, but from looking at these, and what has been done before, I started to look further at the above (cake pops).

These show that there are many different shapes that could be made with the cake pops therefore I could use this to my advantage, I just needs to find how to present them.

Having the cake pops stuck into a cake could work well so looked into that.
How to make the cake pops;
Screen Shots from http://divascancook.com/2012/04/how-to-make-cake-pops-easy-best.html on how to make cake pops. These were really good instructions, also found that they were easier to make than I thought they were, and they will look good if they are done right.

This video shows that the cake pops can be easily packaged.
- Add cake to a large bowl.
- Crumble until it resembles fine crumbs
- Add in frosting a little bit at a time until cake is moist and can hold a ball shape, yet still slightly crumbly.
- Use your hands to incorporate the frosting into the cake crumbs.
- Use a mini ice cream scoop and scoop out two balls of cake mixture.
- Roll the mixture into a tight ball and place on a plate.
- Repeat until all the cake mixture has been rolled into balls.
- Melt 2-4 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave.
- Dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and insert into the cake balls about half-way.
- Freeze for about 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile prepare all of your decorating supplies.
- Melt the remaining chocolate in a large cup. Make sure you have enough chocolate to completely submerge the cake ball.
- Remove cake balls from freezer.
- Dip cake balls carefully into the chocolate until covered.
- Let the excess chocolate drip off. Swirl and tap gently if needed.
- Add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. It will harden quickly.
- Stick the decorated cake pop into a styrofoam block to finish setting.
- Place into the freezer to speed up setting time.
- Cover with a clear treat bag & ribbon for gift giving, if desired.
- Store in a single layer, in an airtight container.
- Enjoy!
